The National Secular Society has launched our 150th anniversary appeal with a target of £200,000, of which a bust of our founder Charles Bradlaugh will be a significant element.

Prominent late 19th century Liberal MP Charles Bradlaugh, widely known as a social reformer the "Member for India" and for his work on the Oaths Act, is at last to be honoured in the UK Parliament by a portrait bust to be unveiled there later this year.

Any remaining money will be used to directly fund the Society’s campaigning and advocacy work.
